To the Support folks,
I think there is a bug or feature in the calendar...
I have noticed that I can NOT change a repeating
event DAY after it has been added.
For example.
If I set up a repeating event for every TUESDAY, and
submit it. the Event is added and it is ok. It is repeated
every Tuesday at set time.
Well, now things have changed and the event has
switched to MONDAY instead of tuesday.
I can edit everything with the event EXCEPT the DAY
of week that it repeats...
Is there a way that I am missing?
Thanks!
T.

Hi JustADad,
Unfortunately you're not missing anything. The Day is part of the repeat pattern, so it's not changeable. The only thing you can do is to delete the event and recreate it.
As to why it changed in the first place, maybe if we figure that out you won't need to recreate the event. Did you just notice the change over the past couple of days? I wonder if going back to standard time over the weekend has somehow affected the time zone of your computer's operating system but not the time zone of your calendar (or something like that). What time zone is set for your calendar, and do you have the same time zone set for your computer? If you use Windows, you can double-click the clock in your task bar to open the Date and Time Properties dialog box, then click the Time Zone tab. If you use a Mac, the date and time settings are in the System Preferences.
Let me know what you find.

No, the calendar event was not changed by trumba. The Change was an "event" change. For example in my case. Soccer Practice was on Tuesdays everyweek until end of year. Instead of deleting the old event and creating a new one... I just wanted to change the day to Mondays since practice got moved to Monday... It should have been easy just to change day on the date of change and then change for all future occurrences of event. This was a simple change on iCal. Just changed the day... I was looking for the same easy solution on trumba... thanks! T.

Hi again, JustADad,
Oh! Sheesh, sorry I totally missed the point on that one! : ) Also sorry that there isn't an easy way to change the day as you could in iCal.

I think this is something tech should considered. I have the same problems. We have 8 division and 38 area council meetings every monh. I have added these meetings to the calendar for the entire year. Occassionally, I receive a request to change the dates, e.g. from the 1st Tues to the 2nd Thurs of the month. To delete and then to re-enter all the information is a headache, particularly when we can update everything thing else

Thanks for your comments, Frank. I'll add them to this feature request. It helps to have specific situations to pass along.

Instead of trying to change the event, can't you just select one instance of the event and copy it to create a new recurring event, then go back and delete the old recurring event?

Hi Soleil,
I just tried what you suggested and it works great! Thanks for sharing this suggestion (I wish I had discovered it earlier!). This is a great workaround.

I change the end date to the start date; however, after I did that, I couldn't find how to copy an event. I knew how to delete the event by selecting an event and selecting Delete Events. Not until I clicked on the small arrow down button did I know how to copy. I never clicked on the arrow down. I didn't see any instructions of how to copy, but perhaps there is. Anyway, I'm glad to find a method.
It'd still be easier to change within the edit mode, however.

Hi Frank,
Certainly agreed it would be easier if the repeating event was more editable, however it's nice to know there is some workaround possible.
Glad you found the Copy Event option in the arrow drop down for the event in the calendar.
The way I used it was to copy first, then make all necessary changes for the repeating event, then save the event.
