Hey - this may sound like a stupid question.

But I had published a calendar with events that I wanted to offer for registrations.

I set the limit at 10 signups, no guests, registration deadline is start of the event. The event is not until 2/20.

Anyway, the signup button that appears beside the event description on the published calendar was showing the other day when the event had reached its limit. The window would open and say the class was full.

The class is still full, but the signup button has disappeared... does it do this after a few days of being full? All other events still have the signup button showing and one of those is also full but currently is still displaying the button as did this one at first.

I really would like for the Signup button to still appear, even if the class is full... that way individuals can unregister still.

Any comments would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi-
When you set up registrations with a Registration Limit and you have checked the "Open signup for this event" option, I recommend that you also check the option to "Create a wait list when fully booked". Without the Wait List option checked, visitors can continue to sign up for your event, and during the sign up process they will be informed that the event is full, however they can still submit their registration to you and before you know it you will have more people signed up for your event than you can handle.

With the Wait List option checked, once you have reached your registration limit, the Sign Up button will display a Waitlist button, which is more appropriate. Once on a wait list, you can then go back in to the event and if any slots open up, you can invite people from the waitlist to the event. By setting it up this way the visitor is more clearly informed that they are either a confirmed participant in the event or they are on a waitlist.

I hope that helps you out!
regards,
Steve

Hey - maybe I didn't make my issue clear. I understand the wait list option however, for what I'm trying to do, a wait list does not make any sense. Every person on staff must attend a training session for some new software we are offering. I have set up the calendar with about 18 or so sessions of which they must sign up to attend at least one. I do not want a wait list because each staff member must attend at least one of these sessions. Allowing a wait list does not ensure they are all attending a session.

I have set the calendar to notify me when individuals sign up so I can kind of keep an eye on it. So far, the "Class is full" statement you referred to has been honored and the staff have found another session that is not full so they can attend.

They can however, go back in after signing up for a class and cancel their registration in order to register for another available session if they decide their schedule will not allow them to attend the original one they signed up for. I like that feature.

Okay, so my problem is, is that the sign up button has completely disappeared beside one of the sessions. Now no one that has signed up for this class can go back in and cancel their attendance if they need to. Only I can access the adminstration side of the calendar and remove them from the class. Also, the class is full right now, but if there were available slots no one would be able to sign up since there is no button.

Can you explain this? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

If you can, please send an email to support@corp.trumba.com with your Trumba account email login and also provide the event title and date and I can research this further. I can then post the results once we figure out what is causing this. It seems very odd this is only happening for one of your events.

Thanks!
Steve
