Our event planner is not happy with the lack of control over system generated emails and the wording in them.
Issue 1: Users of our calendar do not always cancel their registration, but in order for our event planners to accurately track who signed up versus who attended, the event planner will go back into the Trumba calendar to cancel that "no show" registrant's registration.
Problem: The Trumba system automatically generates and sends a "Your canceled Registration" message to the registrant. The event planners do not want this to happen. They want to be able to turn-off the generation of the email when it doesn't apply (i.e. when they have manually gone back into the system to cancel a registration from a "no show").
Issue 2: Our event planners would like to be able to control the wording of system generated emails. In the above example, the Trumba generated email simply states: "Your registration for the following event has been canceled. If you wish to re-register for the event, use the Register button below. Click this button to register."
Our event planners would like to be more sales oriented with the messaging. In addition, for some events we provide a free parking pass and detailed instructions on where to go once on campus. It would be great to be able to put this information into messaging auto generated from the system.
Summary: Have the ability to control auto generated emails from the calendar and be able to customize the content.
Issue 2: Tracking registrations over time. In our old calendar system, for all "like" events (i.e. On Campus Tours), the system could track every registration and cancelation, so that at the end of the month and at the end of the year, the event planner could go into the system and know that they had 2,000 registrations for the On Campus Tours and 500 cancelations.
We setup our On Campus Tours as a repeating event, but the registrations are per incidence of event type and there is no way to get aggregated data easily.
I have already suggested to the event planners, that they export the Trumba generated spreadsheet and, using Excel, mark the "no shows" and then just keep adding to the Excel spreadsheet all the Trumba registration data for the same type of event.
The response was that they could do this, but it adds a lot of overhead administrative time to their daily operations and that the "old" system could do this.
The Dashboard statistical data also does not adequately address this tracking issue.
