Hi
I experimented with adding the location search spud but quickly took it back off my calendar because when I tried to search for events located within 10 "miles" of Auckland I got zero results because it used Auckland someplace in California, USA. I tried specifying "Auckland, New Zealand" but that made no difference, it still went looking in California, USA????
Also, we don't use "Miles" here in New Zealand, instead we use Kilometres. Unless you are a Kiwi older than about 40 you wont even know what a Mile is! Could we please have:
1) a paremeter than applies to the calendar that sets the default country for searches
2) a choice of displaying Miles or Kilometres in the search panel.
Many thanks.
Location search only gives USA localities

Hi,
The Location Search spud will support a few additional countries and what you can do is go to Publish and click on the Control Spuds tab. From here select Add a Control Spud and locate the Location Search spud and then click on the thumbnail and click OK. On the Settings tab locate the "Country to search" field and select New Zealand from the list and click OK. Now when you add this spud to your page it will find cities within New Zealand for you. As for searching by kilometres instead of miles that is a feature request that our development team is aware of. I am meeting with them again this week so I will see if I can push that one along a little further.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve
Thanks for this. I will fully test in a couple of days but I did notice that when I clicked on preview (after setting up this control spud) it said on the bottom left of the window that it was waiting on www.trumba.com but never stopped waiting and did not display any events.
