I feel like I am constantly asking "pre-purchase questions" and I really, really want to move into the "post" purchase questions. I think I only have a few more before the powers that be will make the decision:

1. Does all Trumba software and information reside on your servers or ours? If it is on yours, how often do you take it down for service, updating etc.

2. Can I associate icons with events? If not, when I upload (or is it downloading??) something from another calendar, can it display the logo from that entity. We are trying to convince multiple groups within our city to buy into the system with our group being the Main Calendar, (Pro Version) and each of them buying the $30.00 subaccount through us. Then when they have events we want to show on the main calendar, we would like to display their logo, or a particular icon. Maybe this can only be done through color.

3. Can you confirm that I am correct in my understanding that if I buy the system as I described above, I can publish one or more calendars that can contain some or all of the information from the various subaccounts. Will they then also be able to download information from each other, or only though me? Also, they will each be able to publish their own calendars to their own websites with their own spuds etc. will they not?

Hi coopsen,

These are great questions.

1. Does all Trumba software and information reside on your servers or ours? If it is on yours, how often do you take it down for service, updating etc.

Our software is hosted on our systems. Your data is also stored on our systems.

We are dedicated to maintaining high uptime and availability. You can read more about our systems here:

I'm sorry but the $29.95 offer was a promotion that we have discontinued. Thank you for attempting to activate others who might be able to contribute calendars of information that you could include on your site. I hope the following suggestions will enable to achieve the results you were looking to arrive at through having multiple accounts.

1. If you get a paid subscription with us, we can get you set up with an event submission form. This is something that we are doing on request, at the moment, but I want to be careful about setting expectations that this is something we are able to do for everyone (in case we get swamped with requests). Assuming you have an event submission form, others can use it to submit events. At some point, we do hope to have the event submission form as part of one of paid product offerings--we just are not there yet.

2. If your event submitters get tired of typing in the info into the submission form, they can purchase their own Trumba Account (at this time $99.95/year or $9.95/month) and then share their calendar with your account for republishing. They can also publish the same calendar on their web site, and share it out with anyone else publishing with Trumba for inclusion. Plus, they could do neat things like have an upcoming events spud (our term for widget) or a crawler on their site etc. And they might even be able to get other sites to display their upcoming events!

I hope my responses to the question above addressed your question number 3. If not, please let us know.

It is very exciting when folks such as yourself see the potential for how event information and calendars can be used on multiple sites! It's a challenge to keep an event calendar current with all the information. Once you have in a central place, there's so much you can do with it!

PS: Though there isn't a way that I can think of to show an icon for events that belong to another organization, here are two ideas: 1) Name the calendar that you are mixing in such that it is clear that the viewer is seeing events from another organization. 2) Consider having the other organization include a standard header/footer in their event description that perhaps contains their logo that alerts viewers that it is one of their events. Here is an example of a published Trumba calendar created by someone who sees the same potential that you are seeing and has calendars from a few others sites mixed in.
