I'm interested in purchasing this product, however I have a few questions:

1. Is there any live customer support? I'm not seeing any way to contact a real person..

2. my client wants to be able to allow her end users to schedule appointments on her website. they will submit a deposit via paypal and she will be notified... can trumba do this?

3. I need to also have the ability to set up a database that collects the end user's info.. does trumba have the ability to set up a database?

can you respond to these inquiries?

thanks!

Hi nulrick,
Thanks for posting to the forums. I'll copy your questions and put my answers underneath.

>>1. Is there any live customer support? I'm not seeing any way to contact a real person.<<
Here is all the info about our support options: Support Center and Billing FAQ, which includes info about how to purchase a one-on-one support incident via phone or email.

Otherwise, currently the forums are our live (free) technical support. We monitor them every weekday and respond to every message as soon as we can, usually within a business day after you post. It has been working quite well, and is a good resource for many questions you might have, as well as some you might never have thought of. :)

People viewing a published calendar cannot make changes to it, so this isn't really the best use for Trumba. That said, some people have made it work. They do it by posting their schedule and having clients email them with the time(s) they want to book. The publisher then either removes the appt. from the published calendar or changes it to show that it's booked. If the publisher wants to do the latter, as well as use Trumba to track who's scheduled when, he/she might have to create two events at the same time: one with all the details that he/she marks as a private event, and one with no details other than the fact that the slot isn't available, which is published for clients viewing the calendar.

Here is a post from another forum member who figured out how to incorporate PayPal: Sign up and pay for an event. You might want to read the entire thread -- there could be some other pertinent info for what you want to do.

No. However, we are working on more sophisticated Address Book features that hopefully will let you export contact info. I'm afraid I don't have any info on when that'll be available, though, or whether it'll be what you need, I'm sorry.

I hope this helps answer your questions.
