We are revisiting Trumba as a calendar solution. We have a popular online calendar of community events. We would like to offer community groups (libraries, parks and rec programs, YWCO, YMCA, etc.) the opportunity to enter their own event info (we don't have the personnel to do it all). Many of the groups we would like to support are low tech/low budget. They are not likely to sign up for a Trumba account.

Is there a way to provide them a event submission form? We are slightly web savvy and might be able to run with some guidance.

We wonder if our audience would be fearful of providing an email address to receive event details. Is there a way directly print the details of user selected events?

We want to support our community with a Trumba calendar that would serve multiple groups by taking advantage of the traffic to our site. As a community resource we are in a position to recommend Trumba to multiple groups.

Thank you for your response!

Hello cybersoup,

The scenario you are describing is definitely a great candidate for our event submission form and a wondeful use of this feature. However, this is a pre-release feature with several requirements, such as having already established a large number of views per week for a published Trumba calendar (Requirements for requesting an event submission form). Based on what you've described, we'd recommend that you wait until the event submission feature is a part of our released product.

To answer your other question about printing event details, that is a great suggestion. We could add a feature request to provide an option like "Print event details" as one of the event actions users can choose from. In the meantime, the best advice I could offer would be to just print the browser page when they are viewing event details. (Not very elegant, but could get the job done.)

Regards,

Nancy / Trumba Support

Thanks for the quick response. When do you think the submission form will be available? Our current calendar has over 250 events each month. We are looking forward to using the filter feature to make it possible to view special events independently from recurring events.

hi cybersoup.

I'm afraid we can't very specific about when event submission forms will be available as part of the product. It is a popular request though so hopefully it won't be long.

Connie
