Hi, I'm looking to recommend Trumba for our school volunteer organization (about 60 families, 3 classrooms, with 10 separate committees).

I *really* like the beta feature of groups, it's the make-or-break feature for us; invitations/notifications to specific groups are crucial.

2 questions:

1) concerning the beta feature of groups and the paid-account feature of emailing calendars events automatically--is it possible (or planned) to designate certain address-groups for these automatic emails?

2) default text of the invitations and reminders (especially the reminders) is not quite appropriate for our group. Is there a way to customize this in either free or paid versions?

Thanks!

Hi NKOptions. Thanks for posting to the forums.

1) Groups for automatic emails
If you set up groups in the Address Book, when you go to set up a scheduled calendar email, you will definitely have the option of selecting a group for the calendar email's distribution list. You can see how that works now by turning on beta features and then setting up a group in your Address Book.

2) Default text of the invitations and reminders
Right now you can't customize the text that gets sent in the event invitation email messages that people receive. Others have requested that feature as well and it is on our feature request list.
By reminders do you mean the invitation reminders for people who haven't yet responded to an event invitation? Like the invitations, you can't customize that default text yet.
Or are you referring to event reminders in general? At the moment, you can only send event reminders to yourself as the Trumba account holder.

Hope that helps. Let me know if I didn't answer your question.
Connie

I've got beta features turned on, so I assume that I'll be able to see that after I upgrade to a paid account, right?

Yep, that was it - given that the wording is a little stern for the type/source of message, we would never use that feature until we could customize the text.

Thanks for the quick answers!

Hi Paul,
After you enable the beta features from your Account Settings (that is, not from calendar-only settings), you should see the groups feature in your Address Book even in the free version.
