  1. Here're some not-so-obvious things you can do to customize your published calendar. You set most of these options in the Web Publishing Wizard, which you access by clicking the green Publish button above your calendar. For more options for customizing a published calendar, see Publish calendars to the Web in the OneCalendar Help. • Let others add multiple events from your calendar By default, users can add just one event at a time from your published calendar to theirs. You can enable multiple event selection in step 3 of the wizard (Mix-ins, paging & grouping). For Allow Multiple Event Selection, select Yes. • Make your calendar unsearchable You can publish your calendar on the Web but keep people from being able to search for it. You might want to do this if you want to make your calendar available to a select group of people who may or may not be OneCalendar members. You make a calendar unsearchable in step 4 of the Web Publishing Wizard (Address & keywords). Under Search & Browse Options, for Searchable, select No. Note If you have previously published a calendar with the default settings, and then you publish it again as unsearchable, although it is no longer in the Trumba directory, and the URL to it is no longer valid, the calendar may still appear in Web search results. Search engines index information they find on the Web, and your calendar remains in an index until the search engine comes back to the Trumba public calendar site to update its index. Each search engine has its own rules for this process, and there is no way for us to determine how long it takes for each search engine to re-index a site. Tip You can also password protect a calendar to limit access to it. • Experiment with different templates Each template gives you different options for how the public calendar behaves. For example, if you pick the Classic Month template, your calendar viewers will be able to click which month they want to view. The Performance template lists all occurrences of events under one heading, rather than separately by date. We plan to increase the template options as we go. Different templates also offer different paging and grouping options (in step 3 of the wizard). Paging is how much of the published calendar appears at once. Each page includes links to the next and previous pages. Grouping is how events on one page are sub-divided. A heading row appears at the top of each group.
