[Changing the day of a repeating event?]

I have noticed that I cannot change a repeating event DAY after it has been added.

For example: 
If I set up a repeating event for every TUESDAY, and submit it. the Event is added and it is OK. It is repeated
every Tuesday at a set time.

Now things have changed and the event has switched to Monday instead of Tuesday. I can edit everything with the event EXCEPT the DAY of week that it repeats.

Is there a way to change the day of this repeating event?

Is there any way to delete all events in a calendar? I imported the wrong calendar into a calendar and have a couple
years of events that I need to delete.
