  1. Problem signing in to Trumba

    When you log in to Trumba, and often times people do check this option Automatically sign me in on this computer , that will expire over time and require you to log back in by entering your email and password. In addition a cookie has been installed to your browser. If you are having problems logging in, clear your browser cache and delete your cookies then make sure to close ALL instances of the browser you are using. Bring the browser back up and you should now be able to log back in. If you need your password reset, please email support@corp.trumba.com
  2. Passing eventid in link

    Joe, They were able to add in the Event Detail Link for both the Classic Table and List calendar views. To locate this, select your published calendar in Trumba and click Publish>Calendar spuds tab and then click Edit Settings & Styles for the List calendar view. Select the Events: Default tab and select the [add new field] drop down menu. From here you will see the Event Detail Link value you can select. Once selected the default label appears as “More…” that you can customize. Repeat the same steps with the Classic Table view, however for this view you will find the [add new field] on the General Settings tab. Thanks, Steve

    Hi Joe, I see what you are trying to do now and it does make sense. We do have this setting under the Photo Upcoming Promotion Spud called the "Event Detail Link" which allows you to click on a label for this field that a visitor can click on to see more of the details about the event. Let me pass this by our development team to see if this is a field they could add to a few of the calendar views, including the List view. Thanks, Steve

    Hi Joe, There is not really a way to do this as the ellipse just visually indicates there is more text to view automatically. Instead of an eventid, we do have a permalink which you can pull for each event. To locate the permalink, go to your published calendar and when you click on an event to view the event details, you will see the Permalink in the lower right corner of the event detail page. When you click the Permalink you will notice the URL of your webpage will change and that is the permalink you can copy/paste and use. In addition to the permalink there is also the QR code icon to the right of the permalink and when you click on the link, the QR code page will also display the URL of the permalink that you can copy. You will have to do this for each event to capture the permalink. Thanks, Steve
  5. Trumba now allows the event image to be included in your Calendar Emails (digest emails). Detail Images and Inline Images are not supported in the calendar emails. To enable event images to appear with your daily/weekly emails, select the published calendar in Trumba that the email is coming from and then click Publish>Email tab and then click Edit Settings & Styles for the Calendar Email template. If you do not already have your Calendar Email template created, select Add a Calendar Email that appears to the far right. On the Settings tab at the bottom are the settings where you can enable the event image and position it either on the left or right. You can also set the width and height that the images should be scaled.
  6. Within your Trumba account, your event template may be set up to allow both the event image and detail image. The event image is typically a small thumbnail image that appears on the main calendar view and the detail image is typically a larger and/or different image from the event image. The detail image appears when a site visitor clicks on an event title to view the detail about the event. For accounts that have an event submission form, you can change the label for both event image and detail image as well as decide whether or not you want to allow a submitter to upload only an event image and not a detail image. To change these setting, select your published calendar in Trumba and click Publish and click on the Event Submission tab and click Edit Settings. On the settings for the event submission form locate the Event image label and Detail image label fields to change the labels. Under the Options section, uncheck the option to Allow detail image submissions if you do not want submitters to provide a detail image. Note: This option is checked by default and users can submit a detail image if you have detail image as a field added to your event template and you allow image submissions on the event submission form. Click OK to save your changes.
  7. The Prev/Next buttons and forward/back arrows on various calendar spuds and promotion spuds can be customized. The settings are on a spud by spud basis (there is not a global setting) so you have complete control over which views use which images. You can locate the settings by going to Publish>Calendar Spuds tab and then click on Edit Settings & Styles for your calendar views. To change the arrows for the Datefinder Promotion spud, click Publish>Promotion Spuds tab and click Edit Settings & Styles for the Datefinder spud. Most of the calendar views use the buttons that have the Prev/Next text icon. There are two versions of each button, one for an enabled button that you can click on and one for a disabled button used when there are no more records to display in that direction. The settings for these spuds looks like below. You can pick from other icons or upload your own. The Week, Month and Multi-Week calendar views use the smaller arrows without the Prev/Next text. The settings on these spuds looks like below. (basically the same as above except with different default icons). The Datefinder promotion spud has a smaller version of the arrows and these buttons are never disabled so the datefinder just has two images.

Trumba has released Paid Registration With Trumba you can accept credit card or PayPal payments, or, if you already have an existing merchant account you can collect payments through Authorize.net and Higher One (CASHNet). Now your visitors and attendees can discover, register and pay for events all from your website. All transactions are in US dollars only. With a Trumba Publisher account, paid events fees are $1 per attendee plus 1% of transaction total (maximum $10). No additional charge for free events.     Right now no image goes with the post, hopefully that will be available in the next update for this option (date is TBD) -Steve

If you are already logged in to LinkedIn and you select Post to LinkedIn you will see this screen with your post allowing you to post to updates; post to groups and/or send to individuals: The post to Facebook and Twitter icons are enabled by default for all existing published calendars and any new calendars you published, however if you do not want to have these options displayed for your events, you can disable these options. Note: Post to LinkedIn is not enabled by default To Disable the Post to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn options To control the display of the Post to Facebook, Post to Twitter and Post to LinkedIn options on the Event Detail view for your events, first select your published calendar in Trumba and click Publish>Calendar Spuds tab. Now click Edit Settings & Styles for the Event Detail view. Locate the Footer section and you will see the options to “Show post to Facebook”; “Show post to Twitter” which are enabled by default; and Show post to LinkedIn. Check the appropriate radio buttons to enable/disable the feature and click OK. Additional Information about images: When using images with events, Facebook requires all images to be 100 pixels or larger. Anything smaller than 100 pixels will not display in Facebook and may produce an error posting to Facebook. The post to Facebook will always try to pull in the Event Image and if it cannot, it will pull in the Detail Image. For example, if you have an event on your calendar and you are using just the Event Image field and that image is 70px x 70px, the event will post on Facebook without an image. If you are using both an Event Image and a Detail Image and both are 100px or larger, the Event Image will display with the Facebook post. If you are using both an Event Image and a Detail Image and the Event image is 70px x 70px and the Detail Image is 400px x 250px, the Detail Image will display with the Facebook post.

  14. Kevin, A few things you may want to check as I noticed the Upcoming Events spud is not linking correctly to your main calendar of events. The Upcoming Events crawler has a teaserbase URL pointing to http://wowkal.com/?p=34 (this gives a Not Found error), however I think it should be: http://wowkal.com/calendar-2/. Also, on the Upcoming Photo Promotion spud, this teaserbase is pointing to http://www.trumba.com/calendars/wowkal-feature-events, which is taking a visitor off of your site and over to the Trumba Hosted page. You may want to change the teaserbase for that promotion spud and also redirect it to: http://wowkal.com/calendar-2/, as long as those events that are show in that spud are also visible on the main calendar. On the same page, http://wowkal.com/, the DateFinder currently does not have a teaserbase, so if a user clicks on a date or an event in the pop-up nothing happens. You may want to add another line to the DateFinder code that includes the teaserbase to http://wowkal.com/calendar-2/ I hope that helps! Thanks, Steve
  15. Hi Kevin, The use of images as well as the embedding of images in the Notes field (inline images) using the image source tag are not supported in emails. The use of images (event image, detail image and inline images) are only visible on a published calendar that supports the display of the event images and inline images. The <img src> is supported for the image banner headers that you can customize for the Calendar emails and the Event emails. Thanks- Steve

One other idea for you, if you do have a featured levels custom field set up on your account, you would use the Photo Upcoming Promotion spud and there is a setting within the Promotion Spuds to only display specific featured levels. You could position this promotion spud on your home page and it will link back to your main calendar page. There are also settings for the promotion spuds to only show the current days events. I think the promotion spud may work better for you instead of a main calendar if you plan on just showcasing a few featured events on the home page. Steve

    If you're having trouble signing in to your Trumba account: First, verify that you're using the correct email address and password. If your credentials are correct and you still can't sign in, click this link to force a full sign out. Then, try signing in again. If you're still having trouble, please use your browser settings to delete all cookies. Then restart the browser, and try signing in again.

    Hi Larry, If you can email me at support@corp.trumba.com and provide me with the email address for your account login, I can research this further for you. If you can also provide me more details on the updates you made to your custom fields and where on the published calendar you are not seeing the updates that will help as well. Thanks, Steve

When a person has subscribed to an email and they opt out, for personal privacy, they may not want anyone to know they have opted out from receiving an email and it is their right to that privacy. Trumba has adopted this privacy policy and Trumba email functionality is designed around this type of privacy protection for an end user. Thanks, Steve
  21. According to our in-house legal departments review of this question, Trumba Corporation adheres to the Email privacy laws as well as the rules outlined by the Federal Trade Commission. To protect the privacy rights of the owner of an email address, any communication of an OPT out request, other than to Trumba Corporation where the email address is flagged to opt out from an email distribution list, would be in violation of the privacy rights for the person that owns that email address.   23. Cassandra, Unfortunately, Google cannot index/spider into the Trumba spuds. When you search for an event using Google for example, the results will display the hCalendar page (if your published Trumba calendar is set to be searchable), however there is not a link directly to the events.   25. Submitter Email

    When you export a calendar, the export will contain all events in the past, present and future. As long as you have not deleted any events on the calendars, all of the data for these events will remain intact. Thanks, Steve
