  1. Filter View not displaying all events

Hi Steve, Thanks for the reply. Is there any way to remove the date range from the filter. I am using this spud as news type spud and only show past articles (descending order). So I would need to show all past events in the same manner as one would show all future events if it was ascending order. all the best, Joe
  2. No reply to this in two months. How disappointing.
  3. Hello, I have a spud on this page: http://www.asingularcreation.com/blog.php where the filter is not working correctly. Currently, it only lists 2 categories when there are 3. The articles included fin the spud are from all 3 categores, but there is no option to filter the third. Also, when I do filter the spud using one of the oter 2 filters, it only shows 17 results, when there are more. Thanks for the help, Joe
  4. Hi all, I have a test page with a couple promotion spuds: http://www.asingularcreation.com/test.php Using Chrome I can right click any of the images in the spud to inspect element and get the class name for the images, which is img.twPhotoScaled. I have added a style to my page: /*trumba thumbs*/ img.twPhotoScaled { -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 4px 5px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.5) !important; -moz-box-shadow: 0px 4px 5px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.5) !important; box-shadow: 0px 4px 5px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.5) !important; } When I change the style in Chrome using the inspect element tool and doing it inline, it works fine. However, when I actually add the style to my file, it does not work. Is there something I can do to get this to work? thanks, Joe
  5. permalinks and position

Thanks Steve. Unfortunately, i can no longer use <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" /> because imitating the ie7 browser messes up other functionality, as it is a very outdated browser. Do you know if your developers have any plans to change the way trumba spuds handle url updating? It would much better in y opinion if when you clicked on an event from a trumba calendar, it actually updated the browser with the full url or the event, like it does for promotion spud, rather than just add a hash. If a user goes to a direct link to an event on my site: http://www.asingularcreation.com/calls-to-artists.php?trumbaEmbed=view%3Devent%26eventid%3D105484476 from a newsletter or from Facebook, then clicks the "back to calendar" link, the link does not change. Then when the click a different event, it shows the link from the other event. Therefore when people try to share it, they share the wrong link, unless they know to click the "link to this" link to update the link. Most times, they do not. Anyway, just a suggestion which I think would make the entire browser history and link issue much better. thanks, joe
  6. Hello all, Any reason why when you click an event title from a calendar spud, it doesn't update your browser with the permalink, rather than #/?i=1 ...And when you click the permalink and then click the back to calendar link it doesn't update the browser from ?trumbaEmbed=view%3Devent%26eventid%3D103359091 back to the original link without it? That doesn't make sense because if you then go to a different event, the permalink from the previous event is still showing. That can cause problems. It should be something that happens for all spuds. It is what currently happens when clicking an event from a promotion spud. And finally, if a calendar is long and you go to the bottom and click an event, you then have to scroll up to see the details rather than it taking you to the event title. I mentioned this before with the event submission form, but didn't realize it was the same for the spud. Please take a look at my page and let me know if it is just my pc causing it. I tested it in several browsers. http://www.asingularcreation.com/calls-to-artists.php. Try going to the very bottom event and clicking it. Please let me know if the detail page takes you to the top, or do you have to scroll to see the details. thanks, Joe
  7. Event Detail Page

I was wondering if you knew if this was in the works. Displaying information on the event detail page pretty much is straight forward. All of the fields that are on your event template get displayed, if they are not empty. What is we do not want all of the fields to display on the detail page? Example: You have a calendar which lists a bunch of events with a lot of info. So on the main calendar view, you have a list spud which shows a summary because you do not want to show all of the details. You also do not want to truncate the notes field on the main calendar view because it might not show all of the summary. What you want is to show the summary field on the main calendar view, but show the notes field on the detail page. You do not want to show both on the detail page because it would be repetitive. Is there any plans to allow users to choose what fields to display on the detail page?
  8. News Spud

Thanks Steve. Hopefully you guys will add it soon. all the best, Joe
  9. News Spud

Hi Steve, I wanted to follow up with you about this. I know you guys now have the descending and ascending sort order, which is somewhat useful. However, have you guys given any thought to my original request? (to have the option to have the order determined by the date the event was added). The news spud works great for what you guys use it for. It shows the newest first and that works because the date of the news is the insert date. But I would like to be able to add events with a deadline of a certain date and have them posted in order of when they were added. I may add an event with a Decmber deadline and already have events with November and January deadlines. I still want it to show up top of the list because it was the most recently added. Users go to sites and look at the top article or headline. If it is the same as the last time they were there, they don't need to look any further. I can't do that with the current spuds. They would still have to look at the spud to see if there were events added. It would be very useful to have this option on the list spud. It would only take a sort by (insert or update) timestamp - very simple. thanks, Joe
  10. I guess this owuld be a request, but wanted to find out if it is something that is possibly already in the works. Currently, if you scroll down a calendar to an event and drill in, you go the the detail view. When you hit back on the browser or click the "Back to Calendar" link, it takes you back to the top of the page. That would be much better if you went back to the position on the page where you were when you clicked the event title. That way you could continue to browse from where you left off, rather that find where you left off. all the best, Joe
  11. Hello. I just tried to mix in events from one of my calendars and it did not work. I went to publish settings > Mix-in events from these calendars and selected the calendar I wanted to add. However, the calendar is not showing those events. Any help would be appreciated. all the best, Joe
  12. Photos/Images in Promotion Spuds

There actually is a way to display only an image that has an embedded link to the event details screen. However, you can't rotate images. If you choose a "list" calendar spud and add featured levels for your events, you can choose "Image is Event Layout" as one of the featured level layouts. That will allow you to add all of your event details like you normally would, but will only display the image on the events calendar page. When you click the image, it will take you to the details screen. I have used this method in the past for displaying banners throughout my events calendar. Not sure if that will help you, but you could perhaps use this technique for your short term needs. all the best, Joe

  14. Passing eventid in link

Thanks Steve. That would be great. I think it would be very helpful and doesn't seem like it would be too difficult... hopefully. all the best, Joe
