  1. I have noticed that the chooser widget when initially embeded on a page is loaded with the template selection that are in the Publish Settings. I'm currently using the widget on a page with the calendar, and I manually set/override the Publish Settings with the URL parameter (template=). If I have the Publish Settings set to "List" and then initially load a page with chooser and calendar spuds on it with template="month", the calendar shows the month and the Chooser shows "list". How can I synch these up other than changing the Publish Settings? Is there a URL Param to initialize the selection of the drop down? If not, how can I do it? Is there a javascript variable I can set like the "teaser_base=" to initialize this widget or even better synchronize it with the calendar?
  2. Ahh, thats how its done then... I was only setting the template parameter on the calendar and expecting the chooser to reflect the calendar... Thanks for the tip...I never would have thought I could use the template= on the chooser widget since the "Supported URL Parameters" section in the http://www.trumba.com/help/api/urlparameters.html API help only states the "Main Calendar" supports that URL parameter.
  3. For some reason, only the Calendar Spud responds to clicking on an event. Meaning, I click on an event in my calendar and it takes me to the associated event properties within the context of my site (Yeah, this works!!!). When I replace the Calendar Spud javascript scriptlet (in content_test.jsp) with a Date Finder or Upcoming Events Spud, clicking on the same event does not take me to the associated event properties. It simply reloads the spud and shows the same content (i.e. the Date Finder Spud) and not the event properties. I've tried everything I can think of. I want my Upcoming Events / Date Finder working like NY Times. I used the iframe implementation described in the following help file: http://www.trumba.com/help/publish/embediframe.html Here's my implementation ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- calendar.jsp: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">'>http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"'>http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us" /> <title>Trumba Testing</title> </head> <div id="content"> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.trumba.com/scripts/embed.js"></script> <iframe id="TrumbaIframe" src="content_test.jsp?calendar=constantcontactEventsAz" frameborder="no" width="100%" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" allowtransparency="true" onload="SizeTrumbaFrame()"></iframe> </div> </body> </html> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AND ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- content_test.jsp ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us" /> <title>Trumba Testing</title> <noscript><a href="http://www.yoursite.com/calendar.html">Date finder for our site calendar</a></noscript> </head> <body> <div style="width:200px"> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.trumba.com/k.aspx?calendar=constantcontactEventsAz&widget=datefinder"></script> </div> </body> </html> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am testing by navigating to calendar.jsp.
  4. Great this was it! I tried something like this at first, guess I didn't have it configured right in my initial tests. I just had to learn that the teaser base has to be a Calendar Spud and not just any spud. This is what was holding me up and confusing me. *Worth noting, I had to change calendar.jsp to calendar.html in the trumba_teaserBase var to work with this example.

  6. That still didn't fix the issue I am experiencing. I am wondering if it is a cross domain issue or apache config now. I will try my html from http://forums.trumba.com/index.php?showtop...&gopid=3192 on my personal webserver tonight and see if it works there.
  7. Ahhhh....so thats how its done.... Now I see....I missed that... Well, its not directly on the NY Times Automotive page, it looking like its actually on a Trumba hosted custom Spud.
  8. This was the first thing I tried. Still, after adding a teaserBase (even while using the iframe implementation), clicking on a day in the datefinder does not do anything. I've even tried making a duplicate page with just the calendar spud on it and setting the teaserBase to this page from the previous page, and this did not work. The spuds are reloading within my page, just not reloading with the desired content. I have tested every configuration given on the Help and Forum. I believe it is either an issue with my web server configuration or the Trumba application. I am hosting on Websphere 5.1, I'm going to try running on Websphere 6.x later.
  9. What is spudani.gif? That little 11px X 11px red rectangle with a blinking * in it? I can't decide if this is unsightly or not, but I'm assuming my marketing department does not want this appearing after clicking on upcoming events for more details or to sign up for an event. I didn't see anything in the help or forums about this, and it isn't listed as a feature of the product. How do I get rid of it?
  10. I just noticed that these spuds do work when I add the calendar spud to the same web page. When I try to insert the teaserBase, it doesn't work correctly.
  11. Ahh, I just noticed that the datefinder spud only works when the calendar spud is on the same html page. I am behind a secure firewall running a very powerful web application server and cannot host any pages outside of my network. I have pasted my html in this thread: http://forums.trumba.com/index.php?showtopic=924 I want to only have upcoming events spud on a page and then when event is clicked I can see the event properties.
  12. I am having the same issue with the datefinder and upcoming events spuds. The fact that my calendar spud works fine in the same configuration, leads me to believe it is an issue on the Trumba .NET application. I have tried the proceedure discussed in the link provided above and it did not work, it only worked for the calendar spud. Then, I tried the iframe integration from the help file http://www.trumba.com/help/publish/embediframe.html and the same thing happened, only the calendar spud worked correctly when clicking an event.
  13. It seems the NY Times Automotive page is doing something else besides changing the "teaser_base". Here is the embed they are using: <iframe marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://www.trumba.com/nytimes/automotive/upcoming.aspx?nologo=1" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" width="336" height="360"> </iframe> There is no teaser_base on NYTimes Automotive Page. They must be doing some custom development since the source is pointing to nytimes/automotive/upcoming.aspx I am trying to accomplish functionality similar to NYTimes and am changing the teaser_base on the upcoming events spud that resides on a jsp page that resides within another jsp page. I was able to get the calendar spud to open clicked events within this nested page, but the upcoming events spud did not work. When I clicked on an Event, it just reloaded the upcoming event spud on my page.
