Feature Request

Recommended Posts

Would it be possible to request that the "Prev" "Next" option buttons be placed not only at the top of the event calendar spud, but also at the bottom?

I've had reports of individuals scrolling to the bottom and not liking the inconvenience to have to go back to the top of the calendar to see the next set of data.

Thanks!

Hi jland,

Sure, sounds good! Something you could try in the meantime, if it works for your site, is to change the paging so that there are fewer events per page, and visitors don't have to scroll so much. Depending on the view, the default setting can be up to 100 events on one page.

Changing this might not work for how you want your calendar set up, but just thought I'd throw that idea out there. You change paging settings in the Publishing Control Panel, by clicking Edit Settings on each calendar view that you're using. Only the list-based views have paging settings, and some are more flexible than others.

Hey Jill, thanks for the tip - I might try this one when I get a chance.

Also, I had one other request that I came upon over the last couple of days. Is there any easy way that trumba could make the event ID accessible.

The reason why I ask is that I have some analytic software gathering stats on our site usage and it is collecting actions on the event calendar as well. But it is also providing me with information about when users are accessing specific event information embedded in our page and it identifies the event with an event ID.

I think this would be great so we could be able to see what events our users are most interested in.

Thanks again for all of your help! You do a great job!

Hi jland,

Here are the best two ways to display/copy the event ID. When you're viewing your published calendar in a browser:

1. Hover over an event description. The event id appears in the browser's status bar.

Or

2. Click an event description to open the event details. In the lower-right area of the event detail view, there's a Permalink link. Click that to get the URL for your event, which includes the ID.

I hope one of those options works!
