  1. On the event templates, all custom fields must be positioned before the Description field. On some of the calendar views however you can reposition the order of fields. The Event Detail-Enhanced view also allows you to have the Description at the top, followed by the custom fields.
  2. You can embed your calendar on multiple websites, either by giving those websites the same spud code (for the same settings and styles) or by creating multiple copies of the same spud (with the exception of the main calendar spud), configuring each copy differently, and then giving other websites the appropriate spud code. It's very easy to create multiple copies of the same spud, you just keep picking that spud in the Add a Promotion Spud setup process or select the Clone Spud link after you set up at least one Control Spud or one Promotion Spud. Here is a link to the help topic that describes this functionality: Clone Spuds If you want to be able to stop those websites from showing your calendar spud at a later date, once the spud code is out there on a page, there's no way to automatically turn it off from within Trumba. Other than asking the website admin to remove the spud code (the best approach), the only way to stop it from showing your calendar information would be to change your spud in some way that would result in the other website's code breaking. For example, you might unpublish the calendar referred to in the spud code and then republish it with a different web name. I wouldn't really recommend doing this though because it would also break other things like calendar feeds and subscriptions to your calendar.
  3. You can remove the "PRINT | SUBSCRIBE | iCAL | RSS" from the top of the Main Calendar. To do this, select your published calendar in Trumba and select Publish Settings>Calendar Spuds tab. From here click Edit Settings & Styles for the Main Calendar Spud and select the Calendar Actions Panel tab. Here you can select to hide/show those options. You can remove "Add to my calendar, Forward to friends, Other event actions, Print, & Permalink" in the event detail display. To do this, select your published calendar in Trumba and select Publish Settings>Calendar Spuds tab. From here click Edit Settings & Styles for the Event Detail View. Locate the FOOTER section and it is here where you can hide/show Event Actions, the Print option and the Permalink options as well as other options for social media. You will want to repeat these same steps and make the same changes for the Event Mobile Detail view. This is located at the very bottom of the Calendar Spuds tab in the Mobile Calendar section.
  4. If you have already imported all of the events into at least one calendar, you might consider just stopping there and moving the events to the correct owning sub-calendar. For example, you could have an event that is in Seattle, which you could change the owning calendar to one of the sub-calendars. If this calendar is set to mix in to the BIG calendar there is nothing else you need to do. If you want to import one file and have events be owned by different calendars, add the following column header to your CSV file: Calendar Then make sure your calendar names match the exact name of the calendars as they exist in Trumba within the spreadsheet. When you go to import the CSV file in Trumba, select the file and when you see the Map Fields screen, you will see the map value for Calendar and to the right, select Multiple Calendars from the drop down and click Next to continue through the import wizard. This will now import events into each sub-calendar.
  5. The text "Hosted calendar powered by" along with the Trumba icon is always be displayed in the hosted view of a Trumba calendar. If you would like additional information on attribution removal, please contact Trumba Sales.
  6. Only a publisher account holder will be able to delete calendars and they can also restore a deleted calendar. If you discover that you have deleted a calendar in error, you have 28 days to restore the calendar yourself. After 28 days, events on calendar start being deleted and the calendar is removed. You can locate and restore any deleted calendar by going to Manage My Calendars. Here is a link to a help topic with more details on how to Restore a Deleted calendar. After you restore a calendar you may have to republish the calendar as all deleted calendars are unpublished. If you cannot find the calendar as being deleted, the calendar may also have been accidentally hidden. To view hidden calendars, select Manage Calendars under the TASKS section under your calendar list. If the calendar has been hidden you will see a small icon in the shape of an eye with a line through it next to the calendar name. To display the calendar, click the drop down arrow to the left of the calendar name and select Show Calendar.
  7. When you export a calendar from Trumba, the export will only contain events OWNED by that calendar you are exporting. If the export is blank, that is an indication that the calendar you exported does not own any events. You may have sub-calendars or other calendars mixing in to the main published calendar which own events, so you can export each of those sub-calendars. What you can also do is export that top level published calendar by going to Publish>Feeds tab and then locate the CSV feed. You will notice a URL that will allow you to export this published calendar and it will export all events that are mixed-in to this published calendar. https://www.trumba.com/help/export.aspx
  8. Note You can embed either the Upcoming Events or Crawler spud in your blog. You can't embed two spuds from the same calendar at the same time. To add an Upcoming Events or Upcoming Events Crawler spud to a TypePad blog from a Trumba® Connect calendar: Sign in to your Trumba Connect account. (If you don't have a Trumba Connect account, you will need to sign up for one.) In the Your Calendars list, click the title of the calendar with events that you want to display in your TypePad blog. Click Publish above the calendar. If you see the Publish Options page, choose the settings you want, and then click OK. In the Publishing Control Panel, scroll to the section called Promotion Spuds. If the Upcoming Events or Upcoming Events Crawler spuds are not listed in the Promotion Spuds section, click Add a Promotion Spud. Select the Upcoming Events or Upcoming Events Crawler spud, and then click OK. Back in the Promotion Spuds section, for the spud you just added, click Edit Settings. On the Edit Settings page, choose the paging and popup options you want, and then click Install on TypePad. If you're not signed in to your TypePad account, you'll be asked to sign in. In TypePad: On the Add a Sidebar Widget page, select the TypePad blog to which you want to add the Trumba spud. Click Add a Widget. Click Change Content Ordering to position the spud in your weblog sidebar. Click View Weblog to see the spud in action.
  9. You can view account activity using the Publisher Dashboard feature available on Trumba Publisher accounts. These are only available for current month and 2 previous months. This link is located in the top right corner of your Trumba account. https://www.trumba.com/help/publish/dashboard.aspx
  10. If you are finding that you can send email to these 4 addresses, then there's nothing that you need to change or that needs to be fixed. Basically, if at any time Trumba attempted to send email to any of these four addresses and it was blocked for any reason at all (such as an email server being down), Trumba will indicate this by showing a two red !! next to the address. It's just Trumba's way of letting you know that this address has been blocked at one time or another. Trumba will still attempt to send email to any address in your send list, even if it has two red !!. So, if you know an address is valid but it has a red !, please contact Trumba Support and we can remove the bounced flag on the email address. You will also want to contact these folks and have them add trumba.com to their safe list.
  11. Yes, you could use a Trumba calendar to set up appointments. What you could do is set up 1/2 hour or 1 hour appointments throughout a day and treat each timeslot as an "event". You can then set up event registration for each time slot/event to allow a person to register/reserve that time slot.
  12. We do actually support this functionality both within your Trumba account and on all published calendars. The search function will search for all data fields. Here is a help topic on this subject: Search The Search database is refreshed every 20 minutes.
  13. All of your calendar data is securely stored by Trumba at a server farm located in Seattle, WA and also a backup is located in Plano, TX. To use Trumba you do not install any software, you just access the application via a web browser with an Internet connection.
  14. To make events of a certain appear in a different color, you would actually need to group that certain type of events in a separate calendar. Then when you view or publish that calendar mixed-in to another calendar, the events appear in a different color. You can then edit the calendar colors for the published calendar.
  15. If you add our Upcoming Events spud by clicking the Add to Typepad or Install on Typepad buttons, you can't actually customize it to change the number of events that display (it will be three by default). The current font type and size are determined by the settings you make to the Published calendars. You can change the font, font size, colors and more!
